Drake Avoids Repeating History, Promotes Meek’s ‘CHAMPIONSHIPS’ Album

Written by on November 30, 2018

Meek Mill released his fourth studio album CHAMPIONSHIPS on Thursday night. From JAY-Z addressing Kanye West on the track “What’s Free” to Drake being featured on “Going Bad,” there’s a lot for fans to unpack.

Drake took to IG to promote Meek’s new album, something he didn’t do the last time he was featured on a Meek project. Said track was “R.I.C.O.” from Meek’s 2015 Dreams Worth More Than Money project.

That perceived slight led to Meek feeling some type of way, calling Drake out for using a ghostwriter on “R.I.C.O,” Quentin Miller getting dragged in, and the whole beef beginning.  “Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out,” Meek said on Twitter back in 2015.

“Me and Drake have actually been communicating for the last year. Even before I went to prison. It was based on the right time. We ain’t have nothing going on but a rap beef, we didn’t cause harm to each other,” Meek recently said in an interview with Vulture. “I’m moving off love right now, so it was only proper to link with someone I actually did business with before and called my friend before.”

Drake hopping on social media to promote CHAMPIONSHIPS caught the eyes of fans. Check out some reactions below.
