Drake Congratulates Bad Bunny on Spotify’s Biggest Streaming Year Record

Written by on July 21, 2022

Drake took a moment Wednesday to recognize how Bad Bunny is “moving different” following the release of his latest album Un Verano Sin Ti.

According to Chart Data, Bad Bunny broke his own all-time record for biggest streaming year for any artist in Spotify history with over 10.3 billion streams.

Drake acknowledged the accomplishment on his Stories earlier today, adding, “My guy is moving different.”

Bad Bunny responded to the shout out with a few prayer hands emojis, as well as an owl and bunny emoji.

Bad Bunny continues to conquer the Billboard 200 chart in a way that hasn’t been seen since, well, Drake. Un Verano Sin Ti recently held down the No. 1 spot for a third straight week after earning more than 100,000 units in each of its first 10 weeks, a feat previously achieved by Drake’s Views in 2016.

During its 10-week run on the Billboard 200, Un Verano Sin Ti has never fallen below No. 2, a run that hasn’t been attained since Drake’s Certified Lover Boy just last year. The last time Un Verano Sin Ti finished second was when Drake’s latest polarizing offering Honestly, Nevermind debuted at No. 1 last month.

Bad Bunny and Drake are first and second, respectively, among most streamed artists on Spotify globally, per Chart Data.

The two worked together on the song “Mia,” off Bad Bunny’s debut studio album X 100pre.
