Drake Drops Kim Kardashian-Sampling Track “Search & Rescue”

Drake has officially released his new song “Search & Rescue,” which already-infamously samples Kim Kardashian.
The OVO boss previewed the song during the latest episode of The Fry Yiy Show on his SiriusXM Radio station Sound 42. Initially thought to be titled “Rescue Me,” the glimpse included audio from the Keeping Up with the Kardashians series finale on E! The clip was taken from a conversation in which Kim discussed her marital problems with Kris Jenner.
“I didn’t come this far, just to come this far and not be happy,” Kim K said about her decision to split from Kanye West. “Remember that.”
Less than a week after he teased the track, Drake confirmed it would hit streaming services at midnight Friday. He made the announcement via Instagram along with cover art that featured him and an unidentified woman—who doesn’t not look like Kim—wearing motorcycle helmets. He tagged Yeat’s go-to producer BNYX as well as SadPony, who worked on “Jumbotron Shit Poppin” off his and 21 Savage’s 2022 joint project Her Loss. The official credits also list Noah “40” Shebib, Lil Yachty, Wesley Curtis, and BEAUTIFULMVN as producers.
Some suspected Drake was trying to take aim at Kanye and reignite their years-long beef. Dennis Graham was quick to push back on the theory.
“Drake is not trolling anyone, it’s just a song,” his dad commented on an Instagram update from TMZ. “Why try and create a Kanye and Drake beef again?
Drizzy and 21 Savage are gearing up for their It’s All a Blur Tour. The North American trek kicks off June 16 in New Orleans, and will include stops in Miami, Atlanta, Chicago Los Angeles, and NYC before concluding Sept. 5 in Glendale, Arizona.
