Drake Loses $275,000 UFC Bet After Jorge Masvidal’s Loss Against Covington

Drake, as a growing number of headlines are pointing out this weekend, does indeed appear to have lost a decidedly not small bet of the sports variety.
As UFC enthusiasts already know, the Saturday evening showdown between Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington resulted in a win for the latter. Per TMZ, Drake had put down approximately $275,000 (in Bitcoin) on Masvidal, with Covington’s ultimate victory through unanimous decision resulting in a loss, by extension, for the Certified Lover Boy artist.
“Let’s talk about all the money that Drake lost tonight,” Covington said during a subsequent press conference. “He needs to go back to, you know, selling those shitty albums to get back the money.” A few second later, Covington reiterated these feelings, albeit with slightly different wording.
“Drake, you suck at sports betting. Go back to your shitty little albums and rapping,” Covington, who previously made headlines for his support of former POTUS and ex-Apprentice host Donald Trump, said.
In related money-centered news, Drake was this month reported to have shared a succinct but (potentially) revealing reaction to a report on alleged artist earnings for 2021. Also this month, Drizzy got a special “Lord Knows”-focused sequel request from producer Just Blaze.
Of additional note in the sequels realm, meanwhile, are the numerous requests on this very site for a sequel to Drake’s Scorpion cut “Summer Games.”
