Drake Wears $104K Jacob & Co. Skateboard Chain That Was Once Pharrell’s

It appears Drake has acquired new ice.
On Tuesday, Norwegian influencer Sara Benedikte Nilsen posted a photo with Drizzy at Eden Rock in St. Barths. Captioned “started from the bottom now we here,” it showed Drake with his arm around Nilsen while rocking a chain many hip-hop fans found familiar.
The piece appeared to be the Jacob & Co. double skateboard pendant previously owned by Pharrell. The item was part of Joopiter’s massive 2022 online auction that raked in approximately $5.25 million. The skateboard pendant chain was among the highlights of the event, selling for $103,750. The 22 karat gold piece features white, pink, and yellow diamonds and weighs approximately 401 grams.
Per the lot description:
“When everyone in the game was flipping it regular, P did it switch. Pharrell’s interpretation of a Jesus Piece was two 18K gold (fully functional) fingerboard-sized skateboards, complete with nearly 2,000 round, brilliant diamonds, dangling from a 26” 22K chain. One of the decks features a diamond depiction of Jesus, while the other features a diamond cross. If Skateboard P had a signature chain, this might have been it.”
It’s unclear if the chain was a gift or if Drake purchased it himself, but judging by his well-documented affinity for ice, it’s safe to assume the latter.
Over the past decade, the Grammy winner has accumulated an impressive jewelry collection of both high-dollar and one-of-a-kind pieces, including a Ben Baller-designed Stone Island chain worth $100,000; a custom Gemma Fine Jewelry heart necklace listed for $1 million; and the Alex Moss-designed Previous Engagements, a head-turning diamond necklace he reportedly purchased for $13 million.
