Draymond Green Says His Warriors Would Have Beaten MJ’s Bulls Teams

Written by on July 25, 2022

The never-ending debate surrounding today’s crop of NBA teams versus their predecessors raged on Sunday, when Draymond Green let the people know that his historic 2017 Golden State Warriors squad would have beaten Michael Jordan’s 1998 the Chicago Bulls “by 40.”

“I’m watching the 98 Bulls vs Utah in the Finals… I can’t help but notice our 2017 team would’ve beaten these Bulls by a dub and these Jazz by 40 if they’re going to play these brands of basketball,” Green tweeted. “And that’s why it’s dumb to compare era’s.”

And he didn’t stop there.

“96 Bulls. 98 Bulls. I STAND ON IT!” Green added.

Despite seeming like he intended to spark a debate, Green then tweeted that debating different NBA eras is useless.

“Learn to appreciate things for what they are. Analyze the game. And stop the unnecessary debating,” he wrote.

Green concluded by saying that comparing eras is ultimately pointless because the styles of play are so different, which, duh.

“Question… When they be comparing Era’s are they taking into consideration the drastic differences In style of play?” Green asked. “Regardless of the answer, it’s very dumb to compare one era to the next era.”

Welcome to the new media, we guess.
