Elon Musk’s father Errol revealed in an interview with The Sun that his stepdaughter gave birth to their second child three years ago.
Musk, 76, and Jana Bezuidenhout, 35, welcomed their first child, Elliot Rush, in 2017. Errol told The Sun that their latest offspring, a daughter, was “unplanned.” The two had been living together for about 18 months following the birth of Elliot, but that is no longer the case.
“It’s not practical. She’s 35,” he explained. “Eventually if I’m still around, she might wind up back with me.”
“Any man who marries a [younger] woman, even if you feel very sprightly, it’s going to be nice for a while, but there’s a big gap … and that gap is going to show itself,” Musk added. Errol mentioned that the circumstances were slightly different when he was married to Bezuidenhout’s mother Heide, saying, “I married her mother when she was 25 and I was 45. She was probably one of the best looking woman I’ve ever seen in my life.”
Jana was four years old when Errol became her stepfather. Heide and Errol were married for 18 years and had two children of their own. Errol admitted his daughters were “shocked” to find out about his relationship with Jana. “And they still don’t like it,” he said. “They still feel a bit creepy about it, because she’s their sister. Their half-sister.”
Errol, who has a total of seven children, is open to having more kids. “The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce,” he said. “If I could have another child I would. I can’t see any reason not to. If I had thought about it then Elon or Kimbal wouldn’t exist.”
According to an Insider report, Elon had three more kids last year, including twins with Shivon Zilis, an executive at Neuralink, a company he co-founded. They allegedly arrived shortly after the birth of Exa Dark Sideræl, his second child with Grimes.
Nick Cannon, who has seven known kids of his own, reached out to Musk via Twitter following his veiled tweet addressing his growing family. In response to Elon saying he was “doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis,” Cannon replied, “Right there with you my Brother.”
