Ex-Alabama Player Bans Drake From Being a Crimson Tide Fan

Before the National Championship game, the University of Alabama shared a video showing Drake giving his support to the Alabama Crimson Tide team. The game didn’t go quite as well as the team or Drizzy would have hoped, however. Crimson Tide lost in a defeat at the hands of Clemson.
Promptly clowned by Clemson’s Twitter account, Drizzy’s support of the team immediately prompted fans to claim that the “Drake Curse” is very much alive, ex-Tide player and current UFC fighter Eryk Anders among them. He offered up a tweet on Tuesday, warning Drake that he would fight him “on sight.”
As TMZ reports, Anders is now doubling down on his opinion of the 6 God. “I don’t think there’s a bigger bandwagon fan out there than Drake himself,” he said. “I don’t know what it is but it seems like everything he touches with the exception of Max Holloway… Everything seems to come to a sudden halt and just crash and explode.”
He added that he doesn’t want to see Drake in an Alabama sweatshirt every again. “It’s OK for him to wear Tennessee and Notre Dame, but never again is he allowed to wear ‘Bama.”
He did stress, however, that the tweet was just a joke. “I’m not looking to catch an assault charge,” he explained. “It’s all fun and games, it was just a joke, but I really do got some heat for Drake right now.”
