GVNMNT strikes a relateable cord as they launch their AW19 collection ‘Poor Luxury’, an ode to working-class communities.
Conceived and given life in Birmingham, GVNMNT stands on familiar footing, offering a streetwear perspective rooted in music and skate culture. The energetic nature of these foundations is paralleled through the brand’s showcase of street uniform staples, characterised by two full tracksuit variations. Both classics in their design – from copper-coloured nylon to monogrammed sweats – each is unique in their graphics and fabrication choices.
This variation on everyday staples is visible across the full collection, with print choices such as a white horse utilised to epitomise the rich/poor divide in Britain. Close proximity to the aforementioned streetwear roots is maintained, with fully reflective jacket and baggage options appearing as prominently as those with subtle reflective detailing.
