Fans React to Ryan Tannehill Reportedly Signing $118 Million Contract With Titans

Ryan Tannehill completed his 180 by securing a massive contract that will make him the Titans franchise quarterback.
Per reports, Tennessee and Tannehill have agreed to a new four-year contract. The deal is reportedly worth 118 million in total. Of this, $62 million is fully guaranteed while $91 million is totally guaranteed. This deal has the quarterback raking about $29.5 million on average per year.
Tannehill seemed to confirm the news earlier today, tweeting:
Tannehill became the Titans unlikely hero as he led the team to the AFC Championship last year. En route to falling one win short of the Super Bowl, the Titans were able to knock off the Baltimore Ravens and eventual NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. He also completed 70 percent of his passes last season and threw for 22 touchdowns.
Although Tannehill shined last season, the Titans were anchored by the Derrick Henry‘s rushing attack. Tannehill’s new contract will free up a Tennessee’s franchise tag which it will most likely use on Henry. Also, tying down Tannehill means a lot for Tom Brady’s free agency. The Titans were one of the teams rumored to be jockeying for Brady’s attention. Yet, they’ve effectively taken themselves out of the running with Tannehill’s new contract. Now, all eyes are on Brady as the NFL waits to see if the future Hall of Famer will finally dive into the free agency pool.
