Fear of God‘s Essentials subline is back for the cold-weather months.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles brand unveiled the Essentials “California Winter 2019” campaign, shot by photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis. The upcoming collection picks up where the previous range left off, delivering simple streetwear items that can be easily incorporated into most wardrobes. There’s crewneck sweatshirts, denim outerwear, a light overcoat, joggers, and a cross-body bag. The collection also includes an Essentials x Chuck Taylor sneaker as well as a Fear of God x Shaniqwa Jarvis “Postcard” capsule of T-shirts and hoodies.
The Essentials “California Winter 2019” pieces will be available in stores and online Dec. 7; the Chuck Taylor collaboration will drop Dec. 12. You can check out the collection’s campaign below.
Shortly after the Essentials release, Fear of God’s Nike Air collaboration will officially hit stores. Complex provided an exclusive look at the range in its November cover story featuring John Mayer and Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo.
“Basketball is at the essence of sneaker culture. Everything comes from and is birthed from and post the Air Jordan,” Lorenzo told Complex about the collaboration, which arrives Dec. 15. “[…] I was trying to propose something that makes a kid feel the same way I felt the first time I had a pair of Jordans. That’s lofty, and that’s beyond what maybe anyone would think of a Nike collab, but […] If you’re gonna get the opportunity, that’s the chase. You don’t want to fall short of that.”
