Fefe Dobson Shares “FCKN IN LOVE,” Her First Single in 8 Years

Canada’s queen of pop-punk, Fefe Dobson, is back. “FCKN IN LOVE”, her first track in eight years, shows the Toronto singer at her most joyful and effervescent.
With bright synths and emphatic drums, “FCKN IN LOVE” has the flavour of 2010s indie pop, complimenting Dobson’s lovesick lyrics that beg to be sung along to.
“The new single ‘FCKN IN LOVE’ is about the euphoric rush of love you feel for someone where it takes over your entire body and mind. That person for me is my husband [rapper Yelawolf] who I wrote the song for back in 2012 when we were just dating,” says Dobson. “Fast forward to today, I think the song still kicks ass and feels like the perfect way to reintroduce myself as the world begins to open back up and the seasons are changing.”
Dobson made waves starting back in the 2000s pop rock scene, standing out as a Black woman in a largely male-dominated genre. With a career spanning over two decades, it’s clear she still has fans in high places. Recently, Drake posted the cover of her 2003 debut album Fefe Dobson on his Instagram story.
Ever the renaissance woman, Dobson also recently made an appearance as a judge on season two of Canada’s Drag Race.
