First Week Numbers Projections for Nav, Kehlani, and Lil Durk

Nav is on track to secure one of the top spots on the Billboard 200 with his third studio album, Good Intentions.
Hits Daily Double reports the 18-track effort is projected to earn 70,000 to 75,000 units in its first week; that includes 11,000 to 13,000 units in pure sales. By comparison, Nav’s previous project, 2019’s Bad Habits, debuted at No. 1 with 82,000 album-equivalent units. The XO artist spoke about Bad Habit’s success in the album trailer for Good Intentions, stating: “I had goals written down of going No. 1. I had a vision board in my room with all the things I want. This year, I pretty much got all of them. I believe in [the] law of attraction a lot. Music always win … real stuff.”
Kehlani‘s sophomore album, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, is also expected to make a more than respectable debut. The project is pacing toward 60,000 to 65,000 units in its first week; of those figures, 5,000 to 7,000 will be in traditional sales. If projections hold, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t will give Kehlani her biggest album debut. Its predecessor, 2017’s SweetSexySavage, landed at the No. 3 spot with 58,000 units in its first week.
Shortly after its Thursday night release, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t managed to top the Apple Music charts.
Meanwhile, Lil Durk‘s Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 is expected to rack in 45,000 to 50,000 units (1,000 to 2,000 in pure sales) in its first week. The effort spans 15 tracks and boasts guests appearances by G Herbo, Polo G, Gunna, and Lil Baby. The rapper explained his decision to drop the album during the global health crisis, which has led some artists to postpone releases.
“My next project was going to be with Metro Boomin. We can’t really move forward because everybody’s in the house or social distancing. I’ve already got the music,” he told Forbes. “The title is based off everybody waiting on Metro—Just Cause Y’all Waited 2. I think it’s just the best time, because people are all ears. You see people on the Gram, you see people on Tik Tok. It’s the best time for streaming at this moment. People don’t realize that, when you go back outside the world could be moving so fast that they might overlook your music if you drop [then].”
His previous album, Love Songs 4 The Streets 2, sold 44,000 in its first week, so if these projections hold, it would male it Durk’s biggest album debut ever.
