Five Potential Blockbuster Chris Paul Trades

Written by on June 18, 2019

According to a new report from Yahoo! Sports, Chris Paul wants out of Houston because he can no longer get along with James Harden. This isn’t a total shock based on how the past two seasons ended for the Rockets, but trading Paul and his contract will be no small hurdle to cross.

Paul signed a new max deal last summer that will pay him $38 million in 2019, $41 million in 2020, and an astounding $44 million in 2021. Rockets GM Daryl Morey, who said just yesterday that Paul is not available in a trade, has his work cut out for him trying to find a potential CP3 deal, but no worries, we have some ideas.

Sadly, the trade machine we use has already processed the Anthony Davis trade so it’s not possible to get him to LA. That is unless the AD trade is turned into a three-team deal before it becomes official. Think about it, Rob Pelinka.

Peep five potential Chris Paul trades below while we all wait for Woj to let us know where CP3 will be playing next season.

Chris Paul Heads to Minnesota

Why not give both CP3 and Andrew Wiggins a fresh start? Paul and KAT could make some magic happen, while it would be intersting to see Wiggins on another squad.

CP3 to the Windy City

Why not? The Bulls have been searching for competent point guard play for years, so why not give them what’s left of CP3? In return, the Rockets get instant scoring in LaVine plus some role players.

Boston Replaces Kyrie With Chris Paul

This would literally set NBA Twitter on fire and I’m here for it. Gordon Hayward should continue to get back to form following his catostrophic ankle injury. For CP3, he gets a fresh start and chance to play with some young kids on the rise in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Chris Paul Takes Over South Beach

Why not? This not only gets Chris Paul on the Heat, but we get DION WAITERS IN HOUSTON. That seems like a perfect match. Need this to happen.

Chris Paul and John Wall Switch Cities

It could all be this simple. This gets John Wall a fresh start once he’s ready to come off injury and moves CP3 out East where he can lead a Wizards team alongside Bradley Beal.
