Florida rapper Koly P has been shot more than once in his life. Maybe that’s why he was calm enough to think to turn his most recent experience with the wrong end of a gun into content. The Koly Bible rapper took his fans along for his ambulance ride, live-streaming his conversation with EMTs as he was carted to the hospital.

On Instagram Live, the rapper revealed that he’d been shot three times in his life, the other two being in his stomach and his hand. Clips of the ride were saved and shared by fans on Twitter.
According to Miami ABC affiliate WPLG, Koly was wounded along with two other men in a drive-by shooting outside of a barber shop in Pompano Beach. Koly P’s manager told the station that the rapper is recovering in the hospital and that he is “doing good.”
Also injured in the shooting were a local comedian named Big Lou and a man named Derrian Johnson. Johnson was treated and released. When the rapper revealed that he’s been shot three times, the paramedics seemed shocked.
“Damn, bro. Why they keep shooting you like that?” one asked, before saying that the rapper should get out of that place.
It’s not the first time that Koly has used a shooting for promotional material. He live-streamed his recovery from being shot in the hand as a means to promote a mixtape earlier this year.
Koly is a recognizable name for anyone who has been paying attention to the South Florida rap scene. He’s made a few appearances on tracks with Rick Ross and Kodak Black, even landing a minor hit when he got Boosie and Kodak to guest on a remix of his song “Gooked Out.”
