TMZ reports Floyd Mayweather‘s uncle Roger has passed away at the age of 58.
In 2000, Roger started training Floyd for over a decade after retiring from the sport of boxing in 1999. In a 2015 interview, Floyd spoke candidly about how his uncle’s near two-decade career contributed to his deteriorating physical health.
“My uncle Roger Mayweather has lost a lot of memory from the sport of boxing,” he said. “He’s only in his 50s, but it seems like he’s an old man in his 80s.”
