Former NFL Player Peyton Hillis in ICU After Saving His Kids From Drowning

Former Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis is reportedly in critical condition in intensive care after saving his kids in the ocean, according to the News-Herald.
Twitter user @SSN_Arkansas shared the news of Hillis’ rumored hospitalization on Thursday, which was later followed up by a screenshot of what appeared to be a Facebook post from his uncle Greg.
“I just wanted to let everyone know on Razorback Nation that Peyton is doing better,” Greg wrote to fans of the Arkansas Razorbacks, the college that Hillis attended. “He’s still in intensive care and having some problems with his kidneys and his lungs but doctors say he is improving. I just wanted to head off any rumors that may be started. I’m sure he would want everyone to know that he appreciates all of the prayers being thrown up on his behalf!!!”
Aside from his unusual body type and skill set for the running back position, Hillis rose to fame after a memorable 2010 season where he rushed for 1,177 yards and scored 13 total touchdowns. His cult-like following culminated in Hillis winning the Madden Cover Voting bracket, defeating the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Michael Vick in head-to-head votes.
Hillis made his acting debut last year in the horror film The Hunting.
