Fortnite Jordan Brand | Complex

Early this morning, Fortnite took to Twitter and sent out a number of curious emojis: a goat, a basketball, a sneaker, and a red arrow. Savvy internet users made quick work of this message and speculated that a mashup with the Jordan Brand was in the works. Soon after, it was confirmed by the wildly popular Battle Royale franchise that a mashup with the iconic sneaker brand and the NBA would be going down on May 22nd.
We have seen Fortnite turn its attention to other popular brands/people from other genres, teaming up with Marvel’s the Avengers numerous times, including cosmetic skins as well as limited edition gameplay, and even the John Wick movie series. Not much else is known about this worlds-colliding event, but it is safe to assume there will be some sort of limited edition “skins” available. Whether it be a Jordan 1-wearing hooper dressed like MJ from his Championship-winning days in Chicago, or a more Fortnite-friendly colorway potentially taking cues from the game’s ever-changing map, if you are a fan of either brand, it is certainly time to re-load your V-bucks.
UPDATE 5/22: Fortnite has unveiled its V9.10 patch, which includes the collaborative Downtown Drop LTM by Jordan Brand. Inspired by New York City, the update includes two new skins and an exclusive challenge pack.
