Welcome to Homer Radio.

Overnight, Frank Ocean’s independent American luxury company launched a new weekly show on Apple Music 1, the debut episode of which features producer and DJ CRYSTALLMESS.

The inaugural episode of what Ocean bills as “an office soundtrack” opens with the immediately recognizable voice of Dolly Parton, particularly the freshly poured cup of ambition at the heart of “9 to 5.” From there, the mix brings in a number of voices, including Meek Mill and Autechre, among others.

In a statement accompanying the show’s launch, Ocean said the intention behind the Homer Radio experience is to give listeners “a one hour window into what plays around our office after hours.” He also provided a vivid description of said office environment, distant vacuuming included.

“Media volleys across short distances quickly on the net as Sorkin-like walk and talks travel down the hallways further and further from the sound,” Ocean said. “This is Homer Radio. An office soundtrack. Can’t you hear our ‘voice’? It’s not a dead line.”

Indeed it’s not. Listen to the debut episode of Homer Radio here.

The Homer brand has remained headlines-inspiringly active since its launch last year, including in connection with the rollout of a diamond-encrusted cock ring.

Over the summer, the 10th anniversary of Ocean’s Channel Orange album was commemorated with a pair of new blonded RADIO episodes on Apple Music.
