Freddie Gibbs Enlists Rick Ross for New Single and Video “Ice Cream”

Written by on April 1, 2022

With his forthcoming album S.S.S. (Soul Sold Separately) due out later this year, Freddie Gibbs enlists Rick Ross for his new single “Ice Cream.”

The Kenny Beats-produced track, which arrives alongside a music video that sees Gibbs in an ice cream truck surrounded by beautiful women, samples Raekwon’s 1995 song of the same name from his solo debut album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx

“Dope feen got a pipe dream/Serve my neighbors 34 flavors/I got ice cream,” Gibbs raps on the track.

“Ice Cream” marks the second collaboration between Gibbs and Rozay following “Scottie Beam,” a standout cut from Freddie’s 2020 album Alfredo.

Back in April 2021, Gibbs announced the title of his upcoming album S.S.S., and last month revealed on the Bill Simmons Podcast that he plans on dropping the project this June.

During an interview with the United Kingdom’s Mixmag last year, Gibbs listed out the producers that will appear on his next full-length offering.

“It’s another album of the year,” Gibbs said. “I’m about to go and work with Pharrell next week. Madlib, Working On Dying, The Alchemist, Sevn Thomas, Hit-Boy. I just talked to [Mike Will Made-It]. It’s gonna be the best produced album that I ever made.”

Stream the new song now on all major platform and check out the music video for “Ice Cream” featuring Rick Ross up top.
