Future Calls for YNW Melly’s Release and Wishes Him a Happy Birthday

Future took to Instagram to wish YNW Melly a happy birthday. The We All Shine rapper, who just turned 20, was born Jamell Maurice Demons on May 1, 1999.
In the same clip, Future also called for the release of Melly. “Aye, free my little brother,” Future said.
Melly is currently behind bars on two counts of first-degree murder. TMZ previously reported that the State of Florida is seeking the death penalty in the case. Melly is suspected of being responsible for the 2018 murders of Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr. and Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams. Police allege Melly shot the two men and then staged the scene to make it appear like a drive-by. Shortly after the news was announced, Melly’s mom, Jamie Demons-King, took to IG to share a clip of herself listening to her son’s music.
Earlier this week, a remix to Melly’s hit song “Murder On My Mind,” titled “Melly On My Mind,” surfaced online. The track was recorded by a man who says he’s the rapper’s father.
