Future appears to have reverted to his old ways of flooding fans with music. And what better way to announce this news than by teasing the possibility of HNDRXX II?
On Tuesday (Feb. 5), Future took to Instagram with a post that hinted that he will follow the success of his chart-topping The WIZRD album with a sequel to his beloved HNDRXX project.
“I absolutely have to make another #hndrxx album,” the caption reads.
Released in Feb. 2017, HNDRXX was the pop-infused R&B antithesis to his trap-heavy FUTURE album. These mirroring projects were well received by fans and critics. In fact, the albums, which were released within a week of each other, both debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Because of its success and the musical range Future displayed, the HNDRXX album has generated a cult-like following. As a result, fans are on the edge of their seat to see if/when HNDRXX II will drop.
Future’s THE WIZRD dropped on January 18, 2019 and also debuted at the number one spot on the US Billboard 200.
“THE WIZRD always ahead, know what to do,” Future previously told Rolling Stone about the album. “It’s a long road, heading down this road I know how to maneuver down. I know how to detour off this road, also. That’s THE WIZRD.”
