Future’s New Album ‘High Off Life’ Is Dropping This Week

The rumors were true. Future‘s eighth studio album, High Off Life, is set to drop in several days.
Epic Records formally announced the impending release Tuesday, after Lonzo Ball posted an Instagram story of the project’s tracklist. As you can see below, High Off Life spans 22 cuts, and features guest appearances by Drake, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, DaBaby, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Meek Mill, and more.
Lonzo, who has also dabbled in the rap game, is a huge fan of Hendrix. The Pelicans guard has named Future among his top-five favorite rappers and has even suggested that Future has more classics than hip-hop legend Nas.
“I got no problem with Nas. I think he’s good, you know … He’s obviously a legend, but I just don’t think his music is like that,” Lonzo said during a 2019 interview on BigBoyTV. “… I’m not playing it. None of my friends are playing it … But let’s really get into this, how many classic projects does he have? Honestly, ’cause people be saying he’s top five. Future put out nine projects in a row that’s all hits. Dirty Sprite 2 is one of the best albums ever. 56 Nights one of the best mixtapes ever.”
And it seems the respect is mutual, as Future named-dropped Lonzo on his 2019 track “Crushed Up”:
Bust down my Swiss watch, I’m throwed off
I just joined the big league, Lonzo
Tell me what that lick read, one call
Pink diamonds poppin’ out, cotton ball
High Off Life, the follow-up to Future’s 2019 album The Wizrd, is executive produced by DJ Esco and is scheduled to hit streaming services this Friday.
