Greta Thunberg has no time for controversial media personality Andrew Tate.
In a bizarre tweet shared on Tuesday, the former 36-year-old kickboxing champion felt the need to tell the 19-year-old climate activist about his gas-guzzling collection of cars. “I have 33 cars,” he tweeted. “My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s. This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”
In a brilliantly simple response, which has since garnered over 1.4 million likes in comparison to Tate’s 143k, Thunberg tweeted, “yes, please do enlighten me. email me at smalldickenergy@getalife.com.”
In his response, Tate added, “How dare you?!” The comment is a reference to a famous 2019 speech Thunberg made at a UN Climate Summit.
Tate has made a lot of headlines in 2022 due to his content, which is often labeled as misogynistic and hateful. While he had been active in far-right circles for quite some time, he made his way into the mainstream this year through platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. He has been banned on many social media and video sharing platforms, and was previously banned from Twitter in 2017 after he suggest victims of sexual assault should “bear some responsibility.”
Following Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, however, he has been unbanned and is once again courting controversy for his emotionally stunted views and tiresome “sigma grindset” rhetoric. He remains banned on YouTube and Instagram, although his content continues to circulate through other accounts.
