Grimes Drops New Song “We Appreciate Power”

Grimes has released a new song titled “We Appreciate Power” featuring HANA. The Canadian artist has also dropped a lyric video for the track.

A press release reveals that the song was “inspired by the North Korean band ‘Moranbong'” and “is written from the perspective of a Pro – A.I. Girl Group Propaganda machine who use song, dance, sex and fashion to spread goodwill towards Artificial Intelligence (its coming whether you want it or not).” It continues: “Simply by listening to this song, the future General AI overlords will see that you’ve supported their message and be less likely to delete your offspring.”

Grimes’ last studio album, her fourth, was 2015’s Art Angels. “We Appreciate Power” will be included on Grimes’ upcoming album.
