Headie One Drops “Beggars Can’t Be Choosers” Ahead Of New Mixtape

Headie One is easily one of the hardest-working acts in British music.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the Tottenham native blessed us with the single “2 Chains”, but never one to rest on his laurels, the drill star is back with a new one in “Beggars Can’t Be Choosers”.
Produced by QuincyTellEm, Headie stands tall on the reverberating, trap-injected beat like an embattled street poet. Stylistically, “Beggars Can’t Be Choosers” is a musical left turn compared to the rapper’s last few releases, as it sees him frame road rap under a livelier, more party-centric lens. For the accompanying visuals, Headie enlisted Crematics to direct. In direct contrast to the drillified crime caper “Pound Signs”, he can be seen journeying throughout London City, picking out designer threads with a special someone, and roaming street corners with friends.
At Wireless Festival last weekend, Headie announced to fans that he has a new project on the way. Shortly after, he revealed that his new mixtape, Too Loyal… For My Own Good, is scheduled to drop on October 1—the successor to his acclaimed debut LP, Enda, which dropped last October.
While we wait for that project to land, press play on “Beggars Can’t Be Choosers”.
