Offset’s long-awaited solo studio album Father of 4 has debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. Offset’s project has arrived on the chart with 89,000 album equivalent units, while Gunna‘s Drip or Drown 2 scored 90,000 units to barely slide into the No. 3 spot on the chart.
Offset’s Father of 4 has the second-best debut out of the Migos’ solo albums. Quavo’s Quavo Huncho finished its first week with 99,000 equivalent album units, while Takeoff moved 49,000 units with The Last Rocket.
The two rappers weren’t the only big artists to debut new projects last week. Lil Pump‘s Harverd Dropout debuted at No. 7 with 48,000 album equivalent units and Kehlani‘s While We Wait came in at No. 9 with 34,000 units.
Ariana Grande’s massive Thank U, Next relinquished its No. 1 spot to Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack. The album likely bounced back because of Cooper and Gaga’s Academy Awards performance. “Shallow” also took an Oscar for Best Original Song. A Star Is Born finished the week with 128,000 units, while Thank U, Next scored 116,000.
