Here Are the First Week Album Projections for Mac Miller, Eminem, and Halsey

This week’s trio of big releases, which was comprised of Halsey‘s third studio offering (Manic), a posthumous record from Mac Miller (Circles), and a surprise album from Eminem (Music To Be Murdered By), could combine to do “three-quarters of a million units in total activity,” according to Hits Daily Double. Not bad.
HDD adds that Halsey’s sales were boosted by a ticket bundle, and that Miller’s numbers were aided by major interest in an L.A. pop-up event that took place on Friday. The outlet also states that all three releases will be beneficiaries of D2C (direct-to-consumer).
As for how the numbers are projecting, at the moment it stacks up like this: Despite the lack of pre-orders or advance awareness, Eminem sits in first with 300,000-325,000 in total activity, with 110,000-125,000 of those units coming via album sales. Halsey is projected to move 185,000-210,000 units, with a vast majority of those (140,000-160,000) coming via her album. As for Mac Miller’s companion to Swimming, which had been announced earlier in January, that looks to have sales figures estimated between 175,000-200,000 units, with 50,000-75,000 of those units coming from album sales.
Of course, if you want, you can check out all of them here, here, and here.
