Predictions are in for the debut chart performance of a number of new releases including XXXTentacion‘s Bad Vibes Forever, Roddy Ricch‘s Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, French Montana’s Montana, Camila Cabello‘s Romance, and more.
Hits Daily Double reports that Roddy Ricch is currently projected to be in a battle against the Who’s Who (Deluxe) and Cabello’s Romance for this week’s top debut on the Billboard 200. Both Ricch’s and the Who’s releases are projected to land somewhere between 75,000 and 85,000 equivalent album units during their first week. Romance, meanwhile, is projected to land 70-80,000.
French’s double-album Montana comes in lower with a 15-20,000 projection, while X’s final album—featuring blink-182 and Rick Ross—is tracking in the 60-70,000 territory.
Regardless of where Ricch’s Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial ends up landing, 2019 has already proven to be a very creatively successful year for the Atlantic Records artist. He recently earned a trio of Grammy nominations for his work on Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks in the Middle” and Mustard’s “Ballin.”
Asked by the Los Angeles Times earlier this month what he might say if he ultimately bags a victory at the upcoming awards ceremony, Ricch said it’s simply a “blessing” to have his writing acknowledged.
“I don’t really know, but it’s a blessing, really, that the Grammys would even consider our writing abilities in the song to be among the greatest in the game,” he said. “I just know that I’m supposed to be here, because if I wasn’t I wouldn’t be. I feel like my mom’s prayers worked.”
