Here Are the Winners of the 2022 Billboard Music Awards

Written by on May 16, 2022

On Sunday, the winners for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards were unveiled during a live NBC broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ serving as host.

Billboard has announced some of the winners early, with Drake winning Top Artist and his Certified Lover Boy winning Top Rap Album. Elsewhere, Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour won Top Billboard 200 Album, and The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” won Top Hot 100 Song. Additionally, Kanye West took home six awards for Top Gospel Artist and Top Christian Artist, with Donda winning Top Gospel Album and Top Christian Album, and the Donda album cut “Hurricane” winning Top Gospel Song and Top Christian Song.

The finalists for the Billboard Music Awards were unveiled in April, and like last year, The Weeknd leads with appearances across 17 categories. Doja Cat is the leading female finalist with nods across 14 categories, while Olivia Rodrigo makes her BBMA debut as a finalist for 13 awards. Drake is up for 11 categories including Top Artist, which he already won.

Alongside the awards, there’s a whole slew of performers lined up for the event. Travis Scott, who Diddy said he “demanded” perform at the show, will have his first televised performance since the Astroworld fest tragedy. Silk Sonic, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, Ed Sheeran, and Machine Gun Kelly are also among the other performers.

Check out a continually updated list of winners from the award show below. Winners are outlined in bold.
