Here’s a Sneak Peek at Supreme and Jean Paul Gaultier’s Collaborative Collection

Written by on April 3, 2019

Supreme is linking up with another high-end designer.

On Monday, the streetwear brand shared a teaser for its new collaborative collection with Jean Paul Gaultier, the legendary French couturier who has built a reputation for over-the-top, often irreverent designs. The image features a male model rocking a peacoat with blue and red checks, an oversized co-branded belt buckle, as well as a matching pair of pants and shirt that feature pixelated graphics and the phrase “Fuck Racism.”

“I have been including elements of sportswear in my collections from the very beginning,” Gaultier told Vogue about the collaboration. “It has been one of my codes and my obsessions, I even developed a line ‘Junior Gaultier’ at the end of the 1980s [with that focus]. With Supreme, this inspiration will find its way to a new generation.”

According to Vogue, the collaboration was inspired by the costumes Gaultier created for Madonna’s 1990 Blond Ambition Tour. Which explains why Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon was tapped to stars in the collection campaign shot by Collier Schorr.

The Supreme x Jean Paul Gaultier range will reportedly hit Supreme locations and its online store April 11.
