Here’s the Thrilling New Trailer for ESPN’s Michael Jordan Documentary ‘The Last Dance’

Written by on December 25, 2018

Michael Jordan‘s The Last Dance documentary will arrive later than expected.

On Monday, ESPN announced that the 10-part docu-series will debut in 2020, rather than 2019, as previously reported. To help tide us over, ESPN released a thrilling new 60-second trailer:

The Last Dance will focus on the 1990s Chicago Bulls and will chronicle Jordan’s rise to NBA supremacy. The series will include snippets from more than 500 hours of never-before-seen footage of the Bulls’ 1997-1998 season, which has become one of the most legendary, fascinating years in league history. The film will also include exclusive interviews and commentary with key figures from that era including Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr, and of course, Jordan himself.

“We were the greatest team ever,” Pippen says in the dramatic trailer. “It was [Jordan’s] team.”

The Last Dance, directed by Jason Hehir (The Fab Five and The ’85 Bears) and produced by Mike Tollin, will premiere on Netflix, which means there’s a solid chance the series will debut all at once. Stay tuned as more information, including the exact release date, becomes available.
