HIP Enlists Paraboot for ‘Michael’ and ‘Reims’ Loafer Collab

Leeds-based menswear store HIP has tapped French shoemakers Paraboot to create two new takes on the Michael Shoe and Reims Loafer.
Founded by Rémy-Alexis Richard in 1908, Paraboot has grown over the last century to become one of the most respected French footwear brands around. With an ethos built around “crafting footwear that can last any form of walk no matter how far”, the brand’s use of traditional techniques — including the famed Norwegian welt — means that its range of shoes can be relied upon all year round.
For the collaboration HIP wanted to add a contemporary spin whilst ensuring both styles remain subtle and suitable for everyday life. Handmade at Paraboot’s prestigious factory located just outside of Grenoble, each silhouette incorporates a playful mix of cowhide, brushed suede, and pebbled leather resulting in a uniquely textured yet tonal makeup that can be naturally worn both formally and casually with ease.
The HIP x Paraboot collaboration is set to drop on February 4 via the HIP webstore.
