IDK and Denzel Curry Continue Their Collaborative Streak With “Once Upon A Time”

IDK‘s IWASVERYBAD wasn’t discussed anywhere near enough during EOTY list mania last year. The project, which is well worth revisiting in light of the release of his short film of the same name, turned one year young last month. Now, IDK is hinting at a new chapter with the release of what marks his fifth collaboration with Denzel Curry, “Once Upon a Time (Freestyle).”
“Me and [Denzel Curry] ain’t write shit down for this one,” IDK said when sharing the song late Monday night. “Not too many people sit next to us.”

The new IDK & Friends project arrives Friday. As IDK previously let fans know, the project features “seven of my friends” and is meant as a precursor to the full-length followup to IWASVERYBAD. That album, tentatively titled Is He Real, is now slated for 2019. IDK recently broke down why he’ll be referring to Is He Real as his debut album.
“I call it my debut because it’s going to be my first STUDIO album while my other project were street albums and never in stores for physical sale with a ‘big’ push,” he said last week, adding that IDK & Friends will boast “raw and uncut” thoughts.
If you skipped out on IWASVERYBAD last year, get caught up before Is He Real drops next year. That aforementioned short film of the same name is a good place to start.
