“Dance Now” will appear on the upcoming Dreamville/Interscope release The Forever Story, which marks J.I.D’s third full-length studio album. The cover art for the new album, seen up top, centers on a shot captured by Naskademini. When unveiling the art on Instagram on Monday evening, the Montreal-based photographer said he put his “heart and soul” into the cover.
“I poured my heart and soul into this project,” Naskademini said, as seen below. “Thanks to [Dreamville] for making the Artist behind the cover art feel seen. And love to my brother [Felton Brown] for always believing in the yute. … This was a labour of love and couldn’t have been executed without my incredible team.”
In July, J.I.D and J. Cole gave fans the official video for D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape opener “Stick,” featuring Kenny Mason and Sheck Wes.
J.I.D’s feature on Joey Badass’ 2000 track “Wanna Be Loved,” meanwhile, was recently highlighted by Complex as being among the best songs of its given release week. Joining the collab in the July 22-dated roundup were tracks from Lil Uzi Vert, Megan Thee Stallion with Future, Flo Milli, Nardo Wick, and more. See the full list here.
