Jack Harlow Returns With Third Studio Album ‘Jackman’

Written by on April 28, 2023

Jack Harlow has come through with his third studio album Jackman

The Kentucky-born artist announced the surprise project on Wednesday, less than a year after he delivered his sophomore effort Come Home the Kids Miss You. Harlow unveiled the release date along with the album art, which shows him shirtless in a residential alleyway with his arms crossed. Social media users had plenty to say about the cover, but die-hards were more fixated on the fast-approaching release.

Harlow kept details to an absolute minimum, declining to share the tracklist or any information about contributors. Fans didn’t have to wait too long for those answers, as Jackman arrived at midnight Friday and was revealed to run 24 minutes and include no listed features.

The album comes just weeks before the 25-year-old makes his feature film debut in the White Men Can’t Jump remake. The project is directed by Charles “Calmatic” Kidd II with a script from Kenya Barris and Doug Hall. Harlow will star alongside Sinqua Walls, Teyana Taylor, Laura Harrier, Vince Staples, and the late Lance Reddick. White Men Can’t Jump will hit theaters on May 19.

Harlow has also joined the cast of The Instigators, an Apple Originals film led by Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. Jack spoke about his pivot to acting in a February interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying it was an art he always considered exploring. “It was in the back of my head as a possibility,” explained the six-time Grammy nominee. “People always thought I had some sort of chops for pretending, for better or worse. So I’m going to keep doing this. We’ll see what happens.”

You can stream Jack Harlow’s new album Jackman now on all major platforms.
