Jaden Smith Drops “Plastic” Video

Instead of participating in the hollow capitalist display known as Black Friday, you should just kick back and queue up some YouTube for the day. First up, there’s this new one from Jaden Smith.
Friday, Smith shared the official video for his The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story cut “Plastic.” Catch that below. As some intro text on the new video makes clear, “this is not part of the SYRE timeline.” At the time of this writing, the video’s settings wouldn’t allow for a proper embed, so click through below to watch it in full.
Omar Rambert and Melvin Lewis, who previously linked with Smith on “Batman” and “Icon,” produced the track. The 11-track Sunset Tapes marks Smith’s first new mixtape entry since his 2014 release CTV2. Fittingly, Smith released the new project on the one-year anniversary of his debut studio album SYRE.
“I dedicate this album to the Females in my life,” Smith said in a note to fans last week, adding a thanks to “every single Woman in the world” for giving him inspiration. “All those times by The Beach, in The Hills, in The City, or in The Valley listening to the Beatles, thank you,” Smith said. “I love you.”
