After spending more than a month in the hospital, Jenna Jameson has returned home as doctors continue to investigate the cause of her unknown illness, People reports.
Back in January, the 47-year-old former adult film star was hospitalized after losing her ability to walk. She was initially diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, an uncommon neurological disorder that can attack a person’s muscle movement. However, after running additional tests, doctors confirmed that she didn’t have Guillain-Barré.
On Tuesday, Jameson took to her Instagram Stories to reveal that she is resting at home while doctors perform more tests. She mentioned that doctors are considering that the issue is linked to her femoral nerve, which is located in the pelvis and controls the hip and knee muscles,
“I still have more testing to do but it seems there’s something off with my femoral nerve, and it’s affecting my strength in my legs,” she said. “So I am still in a wheelchair, unfortunately, but I hope to be out of the wheelchair soon and walking, so say a little prayer.”
Jameson went on to show her IG followers that she does in fact have some mobility in her left leg.
“So you can see I still have movement in my leg but my quad strength is really, really, really weak and as you can see I have some atrophy happening,” she explained. “My legs are incredibly skinny but don’t get too alarmed because my legs have always been ultra skinny, so, you know, don’t judge me. We will be back to the best soon!”
