John Cena Added to ‘Fast & Furious 9’

It’s official, John Cena will be in Fast & Furious 9, Deadline reports. The publication also reports that Dwayne Johnson will not be in the film.
Though there isn’t much information concerning what character Cena will portray, Deadline reports that he will play “a badass.” For nearly 20 years, the Fast Franchise has entertained fans and created some of the biggest cinematic moments in history,” Cena wrote on Twitter. “It’s an incredible honor to join this franchise and this family.”

Some fans began speculating that Cena would be involved in the film back in April, after Vin Diesel took to social media to share a post featuring the WWE star.
Fast & Furious 9 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 22, 2020. The film will be directed by Justin Lin while the screenplay will come from Dan Casey. Production on the movie will kick off this month.
