John Legend Named ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ by ‘People’ Magazine

John Legend has been named People‘s “Sexiest Man Alive.”
The annual honorific passed from actor Idris Elba to the singer and The Voice judge and he told the magazine that he’s feeling the weight of the mantle.
“I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure,” he said. “Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m also following Idris Elba, which is not fair and not nice to me!”
Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen shared multiple posts celebrating the announcement.
She jokingly appended the honor to Legend’s long list of accomplishments.
She shared that their two kids could not care less…
…and defended John from haters.
Teigen also joined her husband in balking over being given the honor immediately after Elba.
Legend is the third judge on The Voice to be awarded by the magazine. Adam Levine graced covers in 2013 and Blake Shelton won in 2017. Levine, Shelton, and Legend are the only musicians to win the title since it began in 1985.
