Jordyn Woods Set to Appear in a Rick Ross Video as Tribute to Her Late Father

Jordyn Woods was recently spotted on the set of a Rick Ross music video, and now TMZ reports how that collaboration came to be. Sources close to Woods explained that the pair met while they were filming an episode of VH1’s Hip Hop Squares, and when they started talking her mother, Elizabeth Woods, brought up how her late husband loved Rick Ross’ music.
After that, the pair exchanged contact information, and Woods agreed to appear in a video for a new Rozay track in tribute to her father. John Woods passed away in January 2017 following a battle with cancer.
While there’s no indication on when we can expect to see the video, it’s likely it’ll arrive sometime around the release of Port of Miami 2, which drops Aug. 9. The duo was spotted recording the video on Wednesday in Miami. Ross has been teasing the release with a number of songs, most recently sharing the Swizz Beatz-featuring “Big Tyme.”
Woods confirmed her appearance in the video after she posted a brief clip of her on set, tagging both Ross and Swizz Beatz. “This was a moment for me because Ross was my dad’s fav so I had to do it,” she wrote.
Ross gave a shout-out to Woods in his “NumbNumb Juice” freestyle, on which he rapped, “Got a two seater just for Jordyn Woods.”
Of course, this isn’t the only music video she’s appeared in. She stopped by for role in Gunna’s “Baby Birkin” video, which released earlier this month.
