Josh Hart Compares Lonzo Ball’s ‘Very Depressing’ Take on Lithuania to Lakers Organization

While Lonzo Ball has preferred to take the high road and only speak positively about his time playing for Los Angeles Lakers prior to being packaged in a deal for Anthony Davis, Josh Hart couldn’t help but throw a little shade at his former team.
During his appearance on the LightHarted Podcast with Josh Hart, Ball discussed visiting his brother LaMelo when he played ball in Lithuania. Lonzo didn’t come away from his trip with a glowing review of the country. “Lithuania was very depressing, I went there, too, to visit him,” he said. “I wouldn’t do it again. It’s, like, you been there? It’s, like, hella gloomy. Nobody smiles. It’s like everybody just hates that they’re there, I was like, ‘Damn, I have to get out of there, bro.'”
While Lonzo described his takeaway from Lithuania, Hart let out a bit of a chuckle, as if he knew what he wanted to say, he just wasn’t sure if he should say it. “Sounds like L.A.,” Hart said.
“It’s definitely not L.A.,” Ball replied back. “I’m not talking about the city,” Hart clarified. If it wasn’t already obvious what he was alluding to, Hart doubled down, saying, “I was gonna say the Lakers’ organization.” Lonzo, who didn’t want any smoke said, “I don’t know what he’s talking about.”
All that drama surrounding the Lakers’ organization can probably be left in the past. Lonzo has said he’s “excited” about what lies ahead with his new team, the New Orleans Pelicans. But we know Hart probably has some interesting stories to tell one day about his time living inside the circus that was the Lakers under Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka.
