Julia Fox Walks Back Comments About Kanye West Being ‘Harmless’

Earlier this week, TMZ caught up with Julia Fox and asked the Uncut Gems actress if Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson should be worried for their safety amid Kanye West’s onslaught of posts about them on Instagram.
“No, no no no, Kanye’s harmless,” she said in the below video. “I just think that’s his artistic creative expression. I know it’s aggressive, but I really don’t… I think if it really came down to it, I don’t think Kanye would hurt a fly.”
As reported by Page Six, Fox took to Instagram this weekend to clarify the comments she made in her recent interview with TMZ.
“I would like to point out that I had not seen the latest Instagram posts at the time of this video,” she wrote in a since-deleted post. “Believe it or not I have a life and a son, and I don’t have google alerts for this man!”
The actress went on to explain that she initially thought the TMZ interviewer was referring to the music video for Kanye and The Game’s collaborative single “Eazy,” which features what’s widely been interpreted as a claymation version of Davidson being kidnapped.
“I thought this question was in reference to the music video,” Fox admitted. “Yeah I could just not answer questions but then it would be ‘Julia is mad she salty’ etc and I’m not!” she wrote. It’s a real catch 22 so please stop F’n asking me!”
She added, “I wish I had the answers, but I do not. I would like to remain an Indie Queen. The mainstream life isn’t for me.”
Fox and Ye began dating in January. Just a month later, she confirmed they had split. A representative for Fox said the two “remain good friends and collaborators but they are no longer together.”
