K-Trap Recruits Skepta For Heavy-Duty “Warm” Remix

Written by on November 3, 2022

It’s barely been a month since K-Trap released The Last Whip II, a star-studded 19-tracker that became an instant fan favourite and a standout for the year, but he’s already back with a big A-list remix of Trapo highlight “Warm”.

When the UK drill star announced the remix’s imminent arrival on Tuesday, he simply posted the artwork with the question “Who you getting on it!?” The guesses came flooding in—Giggs, Youngs Teflon, Headie One and so on—but, much to our delight, that person is in fact Skepta.

Bookended by K-Trap, Skepta jumps in for the second verse with rhymes about his path from Meridian Walk to the world’s most prestigious museums—“I know they can’t stand me/Secretly wish they could still hang me/But now they got to hang me next to the Banksy”. It’s a next-level boast, adding an extravagant edge to what was already a deftly-executed track about street credentials.

On top of all that, K-Trap delivers a fresh verse—along with a brand new set of visuals. Taking it back to the roads, it’s a UK music link-up as Chip, Jme, Jammer, Blade Brown, Youngs Teflon and more make an appearance.

A surprising but perfectly suited match-up between a new gen driller and a grime veteran, peep the video above and be sure the “Warm” remix to your playlists.
