Kansas City Royals Prospect Brady Singer Won Christmas With A Gift for His Parents

Written by on December 26, 2018

It’s time to pack it in, gift-givers. We all tried, but Brady Singer won Christmas

The highly touted Kansas City Royals prospect from Eustis, FL surprised his parents with an incredible present on Christmas morning. Singer, who went 18th overall in the most-recent MLB draft and snagged a $4.25 million signing bonus in the process, informed his parents that he had paid off all of their outstanding debt.

“Today is very special to my heart,” he wrote alongside the emotional clip of them receiving the news. “To give back to the two people who have given up everything to support my brother and I. I can’t thank them enough. Love you Mom and Dad.”

Beyond just seeming like a good egg, the Royals have a lot to be happy with from their draft pick. The 22-year-old won the Dick Howser Trophy denoting the nation’s best collegiate player. He was also named the 2018 Player of the Year by Baseball America. The right-handed pitcher was the first ace to win the award since 2011.

In his final season with the Florida Gators, Singer was the SEC Pitcher of the Year, netting 10 wins with a 2.25 ERA. Opposing hitters posted a paltry .186 batting average against him. But no matter what he accomplishes during his pro career, his Christmas day gesture will be tough to beat.
