Kanye Says He Doesn’t Have ‘Beef’ With Kim, Isn’t ‘Giving Up’ on Family

The artist formerly known as Kanye West shared a Valentine’s Day-themed message to Instagram early Monday, saying he doesn’t have “beef” with Kim Kardashian.
In the post in question, seen below, Ye reflected on buying a “particularly special” coat for Kardashian and also spoke on his relationship with the larger pop culture-oriented tabloid cycle.
“I DON’T HAVE BEEF WITH KIM,” Ye, who’s fresh off a weekend stacked with Pete Davidson-centered IG updates, said. “I LOVE MY FAMILY SO STOP THAT NARRATIVE IM NOT GIVING UP ON MY FAMILY.” When detailing the aforementioned coat, which Kim K is pictured wearing in Monday’s post, Ye added that he has “faith that we’ll be back together.”
The photo included in Ye’s post stems from recent reports of Kim and Pete hitting up an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn over the weekend for what was widely billed as a “pre-Valentine’s Day dinner.” Ye made his own reference to the romance-focused day of celebration on Monday, noting that he has “LOVE FOR EVERYONE IN THE MEDIA” and stating that he and other public figures have a “PUBLIC RELATIONSHIP” with media outlets.
“SOMETIMES PEOPLE CALL ME CRAZY BUT TO BE IN LOVE IS TO BE CRAZY ABOUT SOMETHING AND I AM CRAZY ABOUT MY FAMILY,” Ye wrote, adding in a “HAPPY VALENTINES” sign-off.

Shortly after sharing his initial post on Monday, Ye shared another, this one including screenshots of comments from fans. In the caption, the “City of Gods” artist again referred to Pete Davidson as “Skete,” adding that his family “means more” than “any other accomplishment” in his life.
“THANK YOU GUYS FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF MY FAMILY,” Ye said. “MY FAMILY MEANS MORE TO ME THAN ANY OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENT IN LIFE IF ANYONE LOVES ME AND MY FAMILY IF YOU SEE SKETE IN REAL LIFE SCREAM AT YHE LOOSER AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS AND SAY KIMYE FOREVER.”
Next week, Ye is set to begin the rollout for his previously announced Donda sequel with a special performance art event in Miami. The original Donda album, which is up for Album of the Year, was unveiled across a trio of similarly colossal experiences last year.
Amid this weekend’s Super Bowl festivities, Ye made a cameo in a new ad from McDonald’s, a fast food staple that—as fans will note—has received public words of praise from the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga co-crafter in the past.
