Kanye West Releases New 5-Song Composition ‘Emmanuel’
Written by SOURCE on December 26, 2020
As he did last year, Kanye West has dropped a new project on Christmas Day featuring the Sunday Service Choir. The newest one, a five-song composition titled Emmanuel, serves as a follow-up to 2019’s Jesus is Born, according to a press release.
That same release bills the composition as a “celebration of the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ,” and is said to “introduce” a new sound that takes its inspiration from “Ancient and Latin music.”
As was the cast with Jesus is Born, Emmanuel is being put out by “New Jersey-based distributor,” Vydia, instead of going through a major label.
West served as the executive producer and composer. Album artwork is credited to Nick Knight. And the tracklist is made up of:
1. REQUIEM AETERNAM
2. O MIRA NOX
3. O MAGNUM MYSTERIUM
4. PUER
5. GLORIA
It’s available on all platforms now so, whenever you want to listen to it, it’s there for you.
