Kawhi Leonard has released his star-studded new project, Culture Jam Vol. 1, with appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Rod Wave, Ty Dolla Sign, Wale, NLE Choppa, Yung Bleu, Gunna, Polo G, and more.
Leading up to the project’s release, Kawhi shared a single featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Capella Grey called “Bestie” that came with some creative visuals. Prior to that, Kawhi shared “Everything Different” with NBA YoungBoy and Rod Wave, as well as “Waves” with Polo G and Gunna.
Culture Jam Vol. 1 will be dropping in two parts, with the first half releasing today and the second on a later date. When talking about the inspiration behind the project back in May, Kawhi explained in a recent press conference that he wanted to blend the world of sports and music to create something that could uplift the community.
“It just merges basketball and music together. It’s always been something on my mind that I wanted to do,” Leonard explained. “It’s just something that could uplift our community. And, you know, a portion of each stream is gonna go to the Mamba & Mambacita [Sports] Foundation. It’s just something good for the community, you know what I mean?”
Leonard also added that he has been working on Culture Jam Vol.1 over the last several months. Along with the project, the first annual Culture Jam Sports and Music Festival will also be happening in L.A. on Nov. 21 at The Shrine and will be hosted by Wayno. The event will feature performances from Cordae, Bluebucksclan, and others, as well as have panels on financial literacy and mental health.
Tickets for the event will go on sale today at 10 a.m. PST. In the meantime, listen to Kawhi Leonard’s new project, Culture Jam Vol. 1, featuring Lil Uzi Vert, Youngboy Never Broke Again, and more down below.
