In a series of tweets shared early on Wednesday, Kid Cudi said that he won’t be recording a collaborative album with Travis Scott.
“The Scotts album still on the cards?” asked a fan.
“Naw im not doing that,” replied Cudi. “The moment has passed.”
In 2020, Travis Scott and the rapper/actor born Scott Mescudi teamed up as the Scotts for an eponymous track, which was previewed during Scott’s Fortnite event. As recently as last year, Cudi suggested an album was planned, although he wasn’t sure when it might happen. It’s unclear how much material they recorded together for the unreleased project.
Cudi, 38, also responded to a fan who asked if he would ever consider working with Tyler, the Creator or The Weeknd, and questioned if they would want to work with him.
“I think the question is would they ever work w me? And i doubt it, especially tyler,” Cudder wrote. “Believe me I’ve asked. Abel’s the homie tho but I think that ship has sailed. Its all good!!”
However, there is one collab he said will happen.
“Ima def get one in w Logic at some point yea love him!” wrote Cudi in response to a fan who asked if they’d hop in the studio together.
Cudi’s comments come not long after he confirmed that he’s got new material with Young Thug, who he has called for the release of.
“I got 2 songs w Thug I did last year,” Cudi tweeted. “1 of them goin on the new album the other he’ll use. These songs are fuckin INSANE. Im tellin u. U have no idea.”
