Knicks Reportedly Never Offered Max Contract to Kevin Durant Over Achilles Concerns

Kevin Durant decided to join the Brooklyn Nets over the New York Knicks, but James Dolan and the Knicks’ front office may have helped him ultimately make up his mind.
According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, the Knicks “were not prepared to offer” a full max contract to Durant due to concerns over his ability to recovery from his Achilles injury.
